About Us
Ian Luxton
Ian began his health care career over twenty years ago and has a wealth of experience in all aspects of Osteopathy and Sports Injuries.
A keen sportsman himself he understands the demands that can be placed on the body through sporting activities, as well as the stresses and strains which can occur at any time whether it is through gardening or working at a computer.
Ian has developed an enthusiastic interest in biomechanics and the effects that can occur in the kinetic chain if there are problems with the feet or in gait. He has suffered from foot pain himself and being an active person, he knows how debilitating and frustrating it can be. His investigations have led him to understand that a misalignment in foot function can place undue stress on the knees, hips and back and cause pain and discomfort in these areas. Ian's knowledge of foot mechanics and orthotic therapy can help to relieve faulty foot function and restore the body to a more natural and balanced posture.
